Hi Rudy and LT.  I got my own email address, since it’s a lot easier than sorting through what you and I send and getting confused and reading my own emails.  I had to get the yarn lady to help me, as I’m not that good on the computer.  Things are quiet here.  I think the Daddy misses you guys a lot, especially LT.  This morning he got out LT’s milk dish and started to pour milk in it and then remembered he wasn’t here.  He looked really sad then, so I snuggled up with him and sat on the table like LT does.  I hope that’s okay with LT.

Rudy, did you see the email from Benji?  I think it was very nice of her to email me, but I’m not lonely at all.  Bored, well, sometimes.  But definitely not lonely.  I sat out on the roof for a while today.  It’s pretty cool here and it looked like rain, but it didn’t.  Rain that is.  Fuzzy yowled at me from the yard, but he can’t get up here, and he doesn’t have the patience to wait me out.

Well, hope you guys are having a lot of fun.  You should be in Pottawatomie by now, so say hi to all the cats you meet there.  ttfn,

Peep

Wow, it was so cool to get an email from you, Benji!  I got my own email address, so I could write to you without Rudy seeing all our messages, so please respond to me on this address.   Yes, I’m lonely (and bored) so I’d love to have someone new to write to.  We have a lot in common.  I was a nearly starving little kitten too when the Daddy adopted me.  I lived just next door, though.  My brother, Fuzzy, would eat any food we got, which wasn’t much.  The Daddy picked me up and brought me home and I haven’t left since.  I don’t have any kittens though, as an early visit to Tibet took care of that.  I’m kind of envious of LT and Rudy.   Although I doubt that there are salons for cats and private houses for them, it would be interesting to travel to a new place.  And…maybe there *are* cool things for cats in Pottawatomie.  Even if it’s just like the Indian story, and the people just treat their cats very well it would be nice to see.  Don’t get me wrong – my Daddy treats us very well, and the Mommy spoils us silly with cat treats when she’s home on the weekend.  She even made us bacon last weekend.  I think it was a special send-off meal for Rudy and LT.  I look forward to hearing from you.  It’ll distract me from my kitty pity party!

Peep   

Well, we made it to our final destination today.  This RV park is pretty basic, no frills even.  I can understand why the rates are so low.  There were some state parks I’d have loved to stay in, but for those you can’t stay more than a week, and I didn’t want to have to pack up and move, and plus they didn’t have space for the rental car too.  The only other place that would have worked was so expensive that it negated the whole idea of traveling in an RV to save some money.  Well, and also because I don’t want to take bedbugs home with me.  Rudy and LT explored a bit when we got here, and they’re sitting outside with me as I write this.  It’s still over 80º but the humidity is reasonable, so it’s not too bad. If it cools down a bit more, we may be able to sleep without the AC.  I brushed Rudy tonight, and man, does that cat shed!  She hissed at me after a while and made a weird caterwaul-y sound in her throat, so I backed off. If I do a little every night she should stay tangle-free.

Well, I’m off to Ft. Riley tomorrow.  I’ll let you know how it goes and will send you daily kitty pictures, as demanded, er, requested.

David

Subject: Hello from Pottawatomie!

We made it to Kansas late this afternoon.  David locked us in the RV and went to get groceries, but LT and I figured out how to open the cat door, so we got some exploring in.  There don’t seem to be any cats living around here, but we’re on the edge of town, so I’m sure we’ll find those salons and cat houses tomorrow, or maybe the next day.  The RV is the coolest place to live – literally.  David’s had the AC on pretty much since we left.  He turns it off at night if it’s nice and cool, but we sure haven’t been suffering in the heat.  He told me today that he’ll leave it on when he goes to work.  Ha – he thinks we’ll be inside all day.  Little does he know….

Hope you’re having as much fun as we are.

Rudy and LT
